G'Day Japan! / Snow Gear / Don’t slum it on your ski trip this season, enjoy the snow in style!

By now you would have heard of the super dry powder at Niseko – which is so superb that it attracts world-class athletes like Olympic bronze medallist Jenny Jones and Japanese snowboarder Yuka Fujimori, who had a ball in the powder while staying at Ki Niseko earlier this season – but believe it or not, there are actually even more reasons to make Ki Niseko your number one choice of ski resort this season!

Ki Niseko’s consistent high standards recently allowed the resort to receive resounding support from guests in the voting for the World’s Best New Ski Hotel 2015, where it competed on a global scale and was listed not only one of the top five ski resorts world-wide, but also the highest-rated ski resort in Japan. Never one to rely solely on the appeal of the gorgeous natural powder, Ki Niseko is committed to providing a ski experience which excels in all areas – not just on the slopes.

An Dining

Executive Chef Shinichi Maeda – of 2012 Queensland Good Food Guide fame – has a passion for fresh, locally-sourced ingredients, and pairs a creative touch with his traditional Japanese training to bring about the unique and vibrant contemporary Japanese cuisine which is An Dining’s specialty.

Ki Niseko’s restaurant, An Dining, offers a relaxed and scenic fine dining setting, and a dynamic menu heavily influenced by the seasons, but their high point is the izakaya-style dinner menu – a selection of superb dishes designed to be shared, and featuring a full range of complementing and contrasting flavours to delight the tastebuds.

Ski-in Ski-out

Ki Niseko provides a dedicated ski valet service on the second floor – the first in Niseko – where they will take care of your gear and make sure it’s ready for your next day of snow-filled fun so that you don’t have to. In addition to this, the ski entrance also on the second floor (right next to the resort’s main elevator) delivers you straight to the snow, providing the best ski-in ski-out access in Niseko.

Rooms

Ki Niseko features modern accommodation ranging from single rooms to stylish suites for larger groups. For the ultimate mountain experience, Ki Niseko offers two of the most beautiful penthouse suites in Niseko, where you can enjoy the Niseko ski experience in ultimate style and admire the spectacular views of the mountain scenery from the deck in your own private Jacuzzi.

Onsens

There’s nothing quite like finishing up a cold day on the slopes with a nice long soak in a steaming hot natural hot-spring. Of course, Ki Niseko offers two private family onsens (available upon reservation), but for the real onsen experience you just can’t beat the outdoor ‘rotenburo’. The fresh air and beautiful, snow-covered scenery – unobscured by foggy windows – combined with the soothing relaxation of soaking in the hot, mineral-rich water is a real treat for the soul as well as the muscles.
