G'Day Japan! / Event / Kanazawa Hakka in Sydney!

Kanazawa City has recently become easily accessible thanks to the opening of the Hokuriku Shinkansen (bullet train) ride. This has brought many visitors to the city where you can still enjoy a beautiful, traditional Japanese townscape and culture.

The CEOs and general managers of eight metropolitan hotels from Kanazawa City have banded together as ‘Kanazawa Hakka’ and have toured Asian countries such as Taiwan, Singapore and Indonesia to promote their city.

This year they have their eyes set on Australia, and are coming to Sydney to promote tourism in Kanazawa. Last year, Kanazawa saw a 37% increase in Australian visitors, coming in third after Americans and the French with 8,495 Aussie visitors.
