1. Eiswelt Gelato

If you are looking for Kawaii food in Tokyo, you must try these adorable animal-shaped ice cream in Harajuku, the heart of Kawaii culture. The shop is famous for its cute animal-shaped gelatos. They come in a variety of designs and you can choose your favourite from a selection of animals including bunnies, pigs and bears.

3. Shirohige’s Cream Puff Factory

If you’re a Ghibli fan and thinking of going to Japan, add this cute little cafe, Shirohige’s Cream Puff factory, to your go-to list! Shirohige’s Cream Puff Factory is located in two quiet residential areas, Daita and Kichijoji. The cafe sells cute and delicious puffs in the shape of Totoro, a character from the famous Ghibli movie, “ My Neighbor Totoro”.  In fact, you cannot find this cute treat anywhere else, so make sure you try this when you visit Tokyo!

7. Cinnamoroll Cafe

A Cinnamoroll themed cafe has just opened in Shinjuku, Tokyo this spring.  For those unaware of the show, the main character of the show is Cinnamon. He is a white puppy with long ears and blue eyes and is one of the cutest characters from Sanrio, the company that brought us Hello Kitty. If you are a fan of Cinnamoroll or any other Sanrio series, you certainly won’t wanna miss this adorable cafe in the centre of Tokyo. They offer cute drinks and sweets featuring Cinnamon and his friends, as well as various savoury dishes such as Omurice, fried rice topped with an omelette.

8. Coisofu

Coisofu is Instagram famous for its fluffy soft serve ice creams and colourful decorations. It used to be located in Takeshita street, Harajuku but moved to Ginza last year and has now added new flavours to their menu. They offer three different flavours, white sesame, black sesame and a mix of both. If you happen to be in Ginza, get yourself a colourful and delicious soft serve.
